How
to make a covered Pioneer wagon
(by Zanne)
|
I have made them in the past from a child
wagon.
-
I just taped 3 pieces of wood straight up
on the sides or the wagon.
-
Then used wire hangers bent into a curve going
from the top of one piece of wood to the top of the other piece of wood
on the other side of the wagon.
-
Cover the whole thing with a sheet or old
crib sheet and you have a resemblance of a covered wagon.
Karlene:
We made covered wagons for an activity
day a few years ago by getting inexpensive hula hoops ($1 from the dollar
store) making one cut in them.
-
Spread them apart and tape with duct tape
to chairs placed seat to seat.
-
We used four chairs and two hula hoops for
one wagon.
-
This we covered with a white sheet.
-
We also made cardboard wheels (from a large
box) to place by the sides of the "wagons."
