fir tree by H.C. Andersen
Activity:
Make a Pasta Memory Christmas Tree
You can do this as a family and place a family or an individual picture
and give it to a love one for Christmas. You will need to add more ingredients
to make more than one tree.
Pasta Memory Christmas Tree:
In a zip lock bag, combine a few drops of green food coloring and about
one teaspoon of water. Add about a cup of dry pasta (bow ties, macaroni
noodles, or shells or mix some if you desire). Shake until pasta are colored.
Let dry on some wax paper. In a zip lock bag, combine one drop of food
coloring and just a little bit of water. Take a small amount of dry pasta
or rice and place it in the bag. Shake until colored. Let dry on wax paper.
After pasta and/or rice are dried, cut out a Christmas tree using green
construction paper. Glue the tree onto cardboard. Glue a small picture
of the child onto the tree. Glue the green pasta around the picture. Glue
some ribbon or rick rack on the top if you would like to hang it on the
wall. Let dry.
Snack:
Make Christmas tree cookies before FHE and have your children decorate
them.
Sing a closing song.
Close with prayer.
