Our nursery leaders have asked each of the parents for a photo of the child in nursery(not a big photo or elaborate but snapshot).
They cut the child out of the picture and attached it to felt sun shapes.

Each week the as the child comes into the nursery door they pick their picture off of the board and put it in the big huge sun to show that they are there and ready to shine...
