WHERE
DOES THE MONEY GO?
GAME

The goal is to have some
money left over at the end of your month.
Get a Job & get paid:
-
Randomly hand out envelopes containing Job
Description and One Month's Pay in play money.
Get Bills:
-
Lay out Bill Cards so only the back (with
spending category) shows. Have kids sort the cards into things they have
to pay and things that they'll buy if I can.
Take care of your needs:
-
Start at the paying by flipping over the first
priority card. The kids pay out according to the level of spending they
choose.
Take care of your wants:
-
Continue with flipping over the cards and
choosing spending level.
See what you have left
Winners have money left when all their
bills are paid.
Talk about it:
-
What choices did you have to make?
-
Were you able to have everything you wanted?
-
How did the kind of job you had affect the
kind of things you could spend money on?
-
What would you do differently?
