Personal: (requires a 2 month period)
Talk to your parents and start a personal
physical fitness program.
Improve your television viewing for 2 months.
Learn to play a musical instrument or learn
to play a new musical selection and present it for a performance or for
your family after practicing it for 2 months.
Set up a plan with your parents to work on
improving things such as controlling your anger, quarreling with a brother
or sister, using inappropriate words or actions, or being honest.
Improve your personal fasting.
If you have a personal income such as an allowance
or from doing chores, improve your tithe paying.
Be a better friend and involve someone who
needs friendship. Include them with other friends or family home evenings.
Family:
Perform a kindness for each member of your
family.
Do dishes or another chore without being asked
for one week.
Volunteer to baby sit for Mom and Dad while
they do something special.
Volunteer to prepare and present a lesson
in Family Home Evening for 2 different evenings.
Plan and prepare 2 family outings to the zoo,
museum, park etc
Plan and prepare the main meal of the day
for your family at least 4 times.
Ask Mom and Dad to tell you some of their
history and write it down.
Write a letter each week for 4 weeks to a
relative who lives far away.
Church
Attend Primary for 3 months (unless you are
ill)
Volunteer for a talk in Primary and prepare
it yourself.
Baby sit for someone (free) while they are
on church business (temple, meeting etc)
Pick up litter in the chapel or on the grounds
when you see it for 2 months.
Bear your testimony in Sacrament Meeting.
Bring an inactive friend to Primary or to
an activity.
Bring a non-member friend to Primary or to
an activity.
Provide a service for someone at Church on
Sunday for a specified time period.
Help your family clean the church building
for a specified number of times.
Community:
Mow or rake someone's yard or clean someone's
windows
Clean a park (as a group); get permission
first.
Fly the American flag on holidays and know
why it is celebrated. Choose at least 3 of the holidays appropriate for
flag flying.
Attend a community meeting as a group or with
your parents, such as a County Commissioner’s, etc.
Attend a court proceeding with a group or
with your parents.
Run an errand for a neighbor. Or help them
accomplish a needed chore.
Perform in some area in school or community
(dance, sing, play a musical instrument, be in a play, recite a poem etc).
Place a Friend magazine in your Doctor's office
or another waiting room.
Participate in Cub Scouts, 4-H, Girl Scouts,
Achievement Days etc and do a project.
