Pizza-Box Flannel Board

Here is a fun idea for making a self-store flannel board ~ 
out of a pizza box.
When the box is opened, it will act as its own easel.
Store the figures inside the box in small zip lock bags/envelopes.

Supplies needed:


 
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cut box as indicated. Use razor to get straight cuts. (Broken lines are fold lines.) (This is NOT a scale drawing! Measurements are inches)
  • Score along fold lines on the inside of box.
  • Cut fabric into the following sizes: (36" X 24") & (30" X 16")
  • Fuse Wonder-Under to wrong side of both strips of fabric.
  • Fuse Wonder-Under to one side of felt.
  • Center and fuse 30" X 16" piece of fabric to inside of box.
  • Center and fuse 36" X 24" piece of fabric to outside of box. (It will overlap.)
  • Cut slits in fabric to match box slits.
  • Trim corners and excess at slits.
  • On long ends and bottom sides, turn and fuse 1/4" (fabric to fabric)
  • Turn & fuse all edges to box.
  • Glue folded edges to box.
  • Fold in side flaps and glue in place. Be generous with the glue. Hold until dry with masking tape and spring type clothes pins.
  • B & D are glued to C
    J & L are glued to K
    F is glued to E
    N is glued to O
    A & O are glued to E & M
  • Close box
  • Center and glue felt to top of box.
