Make a flannel board

If your don't have a flannel board you can make one.
Get a hold of an old wooden picture frame with a flat back if at all possible (the size
depends on you, I have a poster size one).
Try to get old picture frames at garage sales etc.
- Cut out two pieces of cardboard that will fit inside the frame
- With a can of spray glue (at craft stores), spray one side of one cardboard
- Apply felt (you can buy by the yard at craft store) gently to avoid bubbles.
- Smooth felt down and trim or wrap around the back.
- Place it in the frame like you would a picture.
- Place the second cardboard behind the first to bring it even with the back of frame.
- Use packaging tape (a strong paper bag type of sticky tape) and tape across the back all the way down so it looks just like the back of a painting. If you can't find that tape you can use what ever you can get your hands on (even duct tape).
What's really nice is if you are putting together new teacher packets for the new year... is to make letter/legal size (or a little larger) size flannel boards so they can keep them with their lesson books (for the younger classes).
