Survival Ration Bar
(unknown)

3 cups cereal, oatmeal barley or wheat flakes
2 1/2 c. powdered milk (not sure if instant or non-instant)
1 c. sugar
1/2 pkg. flavoured gelatine
3T. honey
3T. water (may need more)

Place all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add 3 tsp. of water to honey and bring to a boil.
Dissolve the gelatine in the honey-water mixture, then add it to the dry
ingredients.
Mix well and add water until mixture barely can be moulded.
Use wet hands to mould it.
This will make 2 bars about the size of a kitchen match box.
Each bar will provide about 1000 calories and is enough food for one day.
Eat dry or moisten with hot water.
May place bars in oven and dry under low (200-250 degrees) heat.
Store in foil and then in covered container. Will keep indefinitely.
