Primary Manuals: Video suggestions/activities to some lessons

Below you will find a master list of support materials and activities suggested in the Primary Manuals that might need to be coordinated through the presidency. This list was made to help presidencies support teacher's needs by making sure there are enough materials/videos/t.v.'s/ etc. for each class teaching that lesson. 

Possible solutions:

  • Classes could view the video portion of the lesson as a combined group.
  • Perhaps presidencies will make the decision to present these materials during sharing time, to reinforce the message given in the classroom lesson.
  • (Note: many of these videos are only suggested enrichment activities and are not required for the lesson.) 

 


 
  NURSERY/SUNBEAM
  Primary 1: Nursery/Sunbeam manual for every year
Lesson  
39 This lesson is: "Music Makes Me Happy" and suggests teacher could co-ordinate with the music leader. 
40 Enrichment Activity - Invite Priest quorum member to discuss preparing and blessing the sacrament. 
43  Enrichment Activity - Audio or videocassette of current prophet. 
45 Easter Lesson - to be scheduled on Easter Sunday.
46 Christmas Lesson - to be scheduled the Sunday before Christmas.

 


 
  CTR
  Manuals 2 and 3 are to be taught to the children ages 4 through 7 alternatively.

37 Teacher tells a story about the Bishop's childhood and of how he served others while he was young. (show a picture of Bishop as a child.)

  VALIANT
  Manuals 4, 5, 6, and 7 are taught to the children ages 8 through 11 sequentially, correlated to the scriptures being studied in the Sunday School program.

Note: Schedule supplemental lesson for 11 year old classes (male and female) "The Priesthood Can Bless Our Lives" to be taught before the first child in your primary turns twelve. (Stake Primary has a copy if you don't have one.)
