Presidency meeting

Helpers with title on string around neck

Pres counselors : I'm so excited that Sis Soandso has accepted the call to teach the Valiant class.

Since I’m the counselor over that age group I plan to go over and meet with her tomorrow night.

Sec: Here is a list of the children and their birthdates address and phone numbers and a schedule that shows what lesson we are on, when her class will have assignments and class presentation.

Counselor: Great! I have her manual and picture packet and Section 16 The Gospel Teaching and Leadership Manual.

Pres: Remind her about using only Church approved sources!

Couns: Yes I've written that down.

Pres: But most important make sure she realizes what a sacred responsibility it is to help parents teach these young children, and that her personal prayers and love of the children will be the most valuable.

Well it sounds like you've got that under control now Which class has the presentation  Lets see thats your age group Sister ___

Yes we have already met and she is practicing with her class the last 10 minutes of class this week. She has arranged with the music leader for songs to go along with presentation........

Information on orienting new teachers and Presidency meetings is found in the Section 16 Manual which every teacher should receive!
