"Mother, Dear, I love you"
(by Heidi, WI)

Our Jr. Primary is singing this on Mother's Day this year and I taught it to them last week.
They learned the first 2 verses VERY WELL in just one singing time session.

What I did was taught them actions to it as follows:

For the first verse:

Mother, Dear, I love you so sign "I Love You" in sign language and point to their mom on "you"
You're happy smiling face had them put their fingers on their cheeks and smile while they sang it
Is such a joy to look at had them put their hands (in circles) around their eyes like on popcorn popping
You make home a lovely place had them point to their mom in the audience again.

For the second verse:

Mother, Dear, I love you so sign "I Love You" in sign language and point to their mom on "you"
You're lovely shining eyes had them flip their index finger off the thumb right by their eyes
Are just like stars that twinkle had them move their flipping fingers they were using by their eyes up above their heads like stars
Way up in the bright blue skies had them fan out their arms over their head and fall down to their sides (hard to describe this one... sorry!)
