A daughter of God
Stake Mother/daughter activity
(by Betty Mitchell)

A Daughter of God is Beautiful: Taught on skin and hair care.

But, she also taught that beauty is as beauty does.
You may look pretty on the outside but if you are not a person of character with beauty inside then you are not really beautiful.

Hair styles: Easy styles they could do with their hair to make it look nice in a hurry.
The YW helped each girl with her hairdo.

Skin care: The importance of keeping both hair and skin clean.
The teacher bought individual combs for each girl.
Set full length mirrors on the side on top of the long tables with pretty tablecloths and flowers to give it a salon look.
She bought barrettes, pony tail ties, and hair combs at a Dollar Store so each girl could choose things that she liked to put into her bag of handouts.

A Daughter of God has Knowledge:  The importance of reading the scriptures.
Taught by our CES Director.

A Daughter of God Marries in the Temple. Taught by the Stake President and his wife. (we served wedding cake)
For a handout we printed the words to "Walk Tall Your a Daughter of God"  (in black and white) below it was the picture of the Winter Quarters Temple (in black and white that only the flowers were color penciled in color).
We made these 8x10 size and framed them with black frames from Walmart for $1.

A fun idea that I would love to do is a style show where the girls use 2 trash bags to design an outfit for their Mother to model.
