Teach the blessings of keeping the Sabbath day holy.
Divide the children into two groups.

• Have one group draw pictures of things they do on Saturday to prepare for the Sabbath. 

• Have the other group draw pictures of Sabbath-day activities that help them feel close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. 

Have children in the first group tell about their activities and display their pictures on a wall or under a banner labeled Saturday.

Sing “Saturday” (CS, 196). 

Then have children in the second group share their Sabbath-day activities and display their pictures on a different wall or under a banner labeled Sunday. 

Sing “Choose the Right Way” (CS, 160).

Older children can draw pictures on the banners while younger children guess what activity they are illustrating.

Help them memorize Doctrine and Covenants 59:9–10.
