Here is another way to teach the 10 commandments.  I have used these for many years, and the kids in seminary now will come up to me and tell me they were the only one in their class who knew all ten commandments.

 

1. There is only 1 God.
2. (girl idol worshipping) No other god before me ~ no idol worshipping
3. (the 3 makes lips, with swear words coming out)Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain.
4. (Don't golf on Sunday)thou Shalt keep the Sabbath Day Holy.
5. (mom or a dad)Thou shalt Honour your Father and your Mother.
6. (turn it to look like a 6 or a cannon)Thou Shalt not Kill.
7. (The 7 turns into an A)Thou Shalt not commit Adultry
8. (turn it to look like an 8 or handcuffs)Thou shalt not Steal.
9. (remember the bear)Thou shalt not bear false witness.
10. (turn it to see how the 10 becomes a Covet) Thou shalt not Covet.

I also  hope this helps you, I usually call up 10 kids, one to hold each commandment.  
We go over them and then I will turn one or two around and they will try to remember them without seeing them.  
Before you know it they will have all 10 commandments down no problem.
