Teach the children that the priesthood is the authority that God gives to worthy male members of the Church to enable them to assist in His work of bringing to pass “the immortality and eternal life of man” (Moses 1:39).
Teach about how boys and girls alike are blessed by the
power of the priesthood.
On one side of the chalkboard, display pictures that show some duties of the
priesthood,such as:
On the other side of the chalkboard, in random order, write words that name the duties, such as baptizing or blessing the sick.
Call on children to choose a picture that relates to their own experience, tell about their experience, and draw a line from the picture to the matching word.
Ask older children to identify the office in the priesthood needed to perform that duty.
Sing: “The Priesthood Is Restored” (CS,
89).
