My hustband and I taught the Valiant 9 class and we had an idea to give the kids scripture journals.
I made a log for the inside with a calendar and a list of weeks for the year.
I had the kids read the scripture recommendations for the upcoming lesson.

At the end of every month we have a party at our house for the kids who have done the reading for the month.
The kids always come and bring their journals. They share a few entries with their testimonies.

It has been so fun to watch them come to love the scriptures more.
They also bring their journals and scriptures every sunday.

I am sure this would not work so well for the younger kids, but the senior primary it would be great.
