I had a Stake Primary President in Arizona who said to make sure baptism talks at 8 year old baptisms do not mention that their sins are being washed away on the day of the baptism.

Children before this age are innocent and do not have sins.

However - you can talk about how they will make mistakes in the future and that is why the sacrament is so important.
