John Taylor

• He was baptized in Black Creek in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada on May 9, 1836. 27 years old.

• He was a Methodist preacher before he found the gospel.

• Watch saved his life when a bullet struck it in Cartage Jail

Wilford Woodruff

• Born March 1, 1807
• He was baptized in an icy stream near Richmond, New York on Dec 31, 1833 . 26 years old.

• He began writing his journal to improve his penmanship, and made a lifelong habit of keeping a journal.
• Fourth president of the church

Lorenzo Snow

• He was baptized in the Chagriin River, which runs through Kirtland, Ohio on June 23, 1836. 22 years old.

• I was baptized by my father on July 19, 1884 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Records do not say where. (It was a hot summer day so he was probably baptized outdoors in City Creek.) 8 years old.

• He became prophet when he was 93 years old.
• Presidency: 1970 - 1972

Harold B. Lee

• Born March 28, 1899
• He was baptized in Bybee Pond, an old limekiln in Clifton, Idaho on June 9, 1907. 8 years old.
• Favorite food: boiled raisin cake
• His middle initial stands for Brigham.
• Eleventh president of the church
• Presidency: 1972 - 1973
• “The most important work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own home.
• Helped establish Church Welfare Program

Spencer W. Kimball

• Born March 28th, 1895
• He was baptized when I was 8yrs old in Thatcher, Arizona March 28, 1903 in a hog scalding tub that was also used as the family bathtub. His father stood outside the tub when baptizing him. Some people felt was not a correct way to baptize. To be sure that he was properly baptized, he was baptized again when he was 12 years old in the Union canal just a block away from his home.

• He had most of his vocal chords removed in an operation. After that he becam known for his soft voice.
• Twelfth president of the church
• Presidency: 1973 - 1985

Ezra Taft Benson

• Born March 28th, 1895
• He was baptized in the Logan River Canal near his home in Whitney, Idaho on Aug 4, 1907. 8 years old.

• He was baptized after finally getting permission from his father, on Apr 4, 1920 in the Natatorium, a large swimming complex, in Boise, Idaho. He was 12 years old.

• Dedicated Orlando and Bountiful Temples
• Emphasized temple attendance
• Asked members to live more Christlike lives

Gordon B. Hinckley
