I was inspired by this idea after reading the book " The Lord Needed A Prophet."

We separated the children into 5 groups (each group was named after a prophet.)

We opened the activity, with all 5 groups, in our "John Taylor singing" class.

Then each group went to a different prophet class -for example:

• George Albert Smith: jump rope
• Joseph Smith: stick pull
• Joseph F. Smith: family home evening game
• Spencer W. Kimball: basketball
• Ezra Taft Benson: marbles
• Heber J. Grant: Baseball
• Ezra Taft Benson: Book of Mormon bookmarks
• Lorenzo Snow: tithing game
• Gordon B Hinckley: Letters (kids wrote letters to him)
• Prophet Bingo Game

We ended our wonderful time by eating "Joseph Fielding Smith" pie and "Harold B. Lee" root beer.

You will need a lot of teacher support for this, but it will be worth it."
