I chose to talk about parents, teachers and the prophets as being other helps in keeping our baptismal covenant started with a game of Simon Says. When we were finished we talked about what that game represented (Following a leader, follow guides given etc.) Then we did "sing a story" the idea came out of the teaching no greater call book as well as the CSMP outline.
The first leader Heavenly Father sent us to was our parents who will lead us and teach us. D&C 68:25-29
Sing I AM A CHILD OF GOD
There are many great parents in the Book of Mormon that are trying to teach their children too. Helaman 5:12-14
Sing WISE MAN/ FOOLISH MAN
Then I used some pictures out of the various lesson manuals.
If we have faith in our parents teachings then we can feel the love of the Savior, live righteously and be as the Army of Helaman
Sing WE'LL BRING THE WORLD HIS TRUTH
It takes more then parent to teach us. What do we do here each Sunday? Who are we taught by? They take the time to teach you because they love you and want you to learn of Jesus. They want you to walk in the light of Christ and return to his presence.
Sing TEACH ME TO WALK
Manual 3 picture 3-5 Adam and Eve
Discuss picture. If you look in Adams hand he is hold a quill. He is writing, not reading while he is teaching. What is he writing? What do that make him for us? Adam is a parent, teacher and prophet. We can learn from our prophets of old as well as today. D&C 21:4-6
Sing FOLLOW THE PROPHET
If we learn from the other helps Heavenly Father has given us, then we can in turn be a leader and help other keep there baptismal covenants.
Sing CALLED TO SERVE
End with testimony
