Materials: a hot potato
(it could be a chalk eraser, your keys, or a toy one of the children brought to church that you want to dispose of anyway)
Have the children sit in a circle, and pass the "hot potato" around the circle until they hear you call "STOP". (You could either turn around and call it at random or decide in advance at how many seconds you'll call it.) Whoever has the "hot potato" when you call "STOP" must find a scripture that relates to the lesson. (Encourage them to look in the topical guide if they need to.) Younger children can pick a song that relates to the lesson, then lead the group in singing it.
