Traces (unknown)

This little grimy handprint,
Will bring a smile someday,
You'll be sure to recollect,
This little hand at play.

And Mom, you will remember,
And yield a little sigh,
When you will remember,
How fast the time past by.

For little hands are only small,
A short time, as you know,
In a few short years these hands will wave,
And away to life they'll go.

So for now be thrilled and thankful,
When you meet them in your day,
'Cause now they decorate our home
In a special sort of way.
