(some homemade cookies and this poem)
Cookies and Dads are both so much alike...
After the first taste you can't stop at one bite.
They're both irresistible and a treat that's second-to-none,
When the jar is full and Dad's at home, it's time for family fun.
Cookies are rough around the edges, with a middle so tender...
Dad's are like that, too -- well-rounded, in all their splendor.
Cookies are always better when they're lovingly home-made,
Just as Dads create home-made memories that the mind will never fade.
Cookies warm an empty stomach, while Dads warm a troubled heart,
So, thank goodness for them both and the meaning they impart!
Happy Father's Day!
