Music game: Puzzle Game

There are a few ways to use this idea.

  1. Take a large picture or draw a large picture of something, then cut it up into puzzle-like pieces. On the back of each piece, write the name of a song. Have a child pick a piece, then sing that song. Then have another child place the puzzle piece on the chalkboard. Continue in the same manner until the picture is complete.
  2. Use the puzzle to teach a song. Take or draw a large picture of something that represents the song you are going to teach. Cut it up into puzzle pieces. On the back of each piece write a phrase from the song. As soon as the children learn the first phrase, and can sing it well, have one of the children place the piece on the chalkboard. Teach them the next phrase, and have them sing the first phrase as well as the second phrase well before you let them put the puzzle piece on the chalk board. Continue until the song is memorized, and the puzzle is complete.
